Welcome to Kookaburra Cottage Bed & Breakfast. This private self contained air conditioned cottage is set amidst lush gardens with views to Mackay. We are situated on 1 ¾ acres of land, 5 ½ kilometers off the Bruce Highway , five minutes north-west of Sarina and 25 kilometers to Mackay.

Should you wish to travel with your pets, there is a fully enclosed tiled verandah along the front of the cottage and you are welcome to wander through the gardens at your leisure. The cottage is ideally situated between Cairns and Brisbane, and is a welcome rest and refresh spot on your travels.

Guests have the use of the in ground saltwater pool, (towels are supplied). A breakfast pack of cereal, juice, yoghurt, tinned fruit, toast, butter, jam, tea and coffee is supplied along with a hot breakfast pack of steak, bacon, sausages or rissoles, eggs and tomato. Guests can enjoy a sleep in and cook their own breakfast at their leisure as we have a late check out of 11am. There is a gas BBQ supplied as well as an electric wok, electric fry pan and a microwave should you wish to cook your own evening meal. All linen, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are supplied.

There is no minimum stay requirement and we have a weekly rate should you wish to stay longer and enjoy the sights around Sarina and Mackay.

Just 15 kilometers away you can find Grasstree Beach (great fish & chip shop); Campwin Beach lookout; and Sarina Beach – where there is a surf club which serves great meals and is licensed. There is also the Palms Restaurant at Sarina Beach and several hotels and the local RSL and Bowls Club in Sarina, along with a great little coffee shop in the main street of Sarina. There is also two well stocked supermarkets in Sarina and other delightful little shop.
